CHARLEY SHEPELL Suddenly on May 29, 2005 at Stonewall Hospital with his family present Charley passed away. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Marilyn of 41 years; daughters, Angela, Connie (Todd Russell); and three precious grandchildren, Kyle, Larissa and Raquel; brother Joe (Anne); sister Betty (Reg Cayer); brothers, David (Marjorie), Warren; sister-in-law Pearl and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father Stanley; mother Anne; and brother Walter. Charley was born in 1939 and raised in Fisher Branch, MB to the age of 16 when he went to work with his brother Walter in the logging industry in Hudson, ON. In his early 20's he worked in construction until he started his own businesses. He operated his own companies until he was forced into early retirement. Charley enjoyed playing accordion and guitar in his early years. He was an avid football fan (Bombers/Vikings) and baseball fan (Blue Jays). Dad loved to spend time with his daughters and would never refuse a helping hand when his children needed. He adored his grandchildren and attended many sporting events and functions. In respect to his wishes cremation has taken place. A prayer service for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall. A private family memorial service will take place at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall on Saturday, June 4 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation. When you're alone with Jesus And He sweetly smiles on thee, Will you gently whisper to Him A little prayer for me? And when I'm alone with Jesus And all else is hid from view I'll gently drop into His heart A little prayer for you. Jesus, Mary, Joseph My Jesus, mercy.
