Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMom on Her 80th Birthday JOSEPHINE (JO) KATHERINE ROMANI (nee CORTE) It is with saddened hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the age of 84. Mom was born in Stony Mountain, MB (the youngest of five girls) on December 4, 1920 to parents Libero and Angela Corte who immigrated from Italy at the turn of the century. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Emilio in January 1994; an infant son in 1940 and her four sisters - Mary, Anita, Pauline and Betty. Mom will always be remembered for her spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand. Like many women of her generation, Mom dedicated her life to being a good wife and mother. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Catholic Women's League and, after her children were grown, worked for Eaton's mail order for a short time. She is survived by her two sons, Aldo, daughter-in-law Judith, grandson David (Christine) and great-grandchildren, Darien and Tristan; grandson Michael (Sandra) and great-grandchildren, Aidan and Isabella; son Emilio (Darlene) and grandson Jonathan. The family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Meadowood Manor for the excellent care given Mom. A memorial service celebrating Mom's life will be held on Friday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1445 Main St. with Fr. Sam Argenziano of Holy Rosary Church officiating. Mom will be placed to rest beside Dad at St. Mary's Cemetery on Osborne Street. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer Society, Unit 10, 120 Donald St., R3C 4G2 or to Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Anne's Rd., R2M 5B2 in Mom's memory. Rest in Peace. You are with Dad now. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
