Left to mourn are his wife of 33 years, Judy; three sons, Mark (Kim) and their children, Ashley, Tawnie and Nickolas; Jason (Sheri-Lee) and their children, Bjorn and McKenna, and Brad (Shelley). He is also survived by his mother Margaret; three brothers, Wade (Sharon) of Duncan, BC, Terry (Judy) of Calgary, AB, Devon (Kathy) of Stonewall, MB; and a sister Sandra (Gerald) of Brandon, MB; his mother-in-law Jennie; his sisters-in-law, Sylvia (Al), Linda (Dave) and Bonnie (Brian); along with numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. Larry was predeceased by his father Anton Bednarek and his father-in-law Bjorn Bjornson. Larry was born on January 6, 1944 at the Winnipeg General Hospital. He grew up in Grahamdale, MB and began working on heavy machinery at the age of 15. King Pin , as he was known by, was employed at the RM of Siglunes for 27 years, doing what he loved - operating the grader. Larry will always be remembered as a man with a big voice and an even bigger heart. Hunting was a passion of his and he enjoyed handing this past time down to his grandson Bjorn through the time they spent together in the goose fields. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at the Ashern Centennial Hall with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Interment to follow in the Betel (Silver Bay) Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. The family would like to thank our neighbours and family for being with us and the support you have shown through Dad's illness. You will not be forgotten. A thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Julie Bergner, PO Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0, or to a charity of one's choice.
