Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ETTA LUNDQUIST (LINDELL) (nee MALCOLM) It is with great sadness, that we the family announce the death of Mary Etta Lundquist (Lindell) (nee Malcolm), at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital on May 29, 2005, after a short battle with cancer. Mom was born December 24, 1929 in Lundar, MB, one of nine children of Charlie and Lizzie Malcolm. Mom was raised and lived in the Lundar/Eriksdale area all of her life. She married Eddy Lindell in 1953 and they raised five sons. Eddy predeceased her in 1964. She later married again. Mom worked for many years in the dietary department at the E.M. Crowe Hospital. In recent years Mom's failing health diminished her enjoyment of life. Mom could always count on her sister Edna to help her out. We thank Aunt Edna for her devotion. Etta was predeceased by her parents; husband Eddy; brothers, Tom, Ken, Clarence and Bill Malcolm; sisters, Evelyn Malcolm, Helen Howardson; and grandson Mike Lindell. Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Irene McCarthey and Edna Burdett; her sons, Terry (Fran), Charlie, Ken (Dolly), Erica, Lynette, Megan and Ashley, Les (Dawn), Marnie, Eddy and Tyler, Reid (Sherri), Kirk, Clark, Paige, Scott and Samantha, Dwight, Brooke, Shayla; along with many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside family memorial service will be held at a later date, in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery. We wish to extend our thanks to Dr. Burnett and all the staff of E.M. Crowe Hospital for their support and care, friends Iris and Elaine. Special thanks to all Etta's homecare workers for their patience. Also a special thank you to Dawn for all the time you spent with Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eriksdale Hospital Guild, in care of Gail Holmes, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD. ASHERN - LUNDAR (204) 768-2072

My gramma was the sweetest lady I had ever met and losing her was hard for me. But many years have went by and many memories still play thought my head every now and then but most of all the love and compassion I have for my gramma will still remain until the day I pass. I love you gramma - Posted by: Shayla Lindell (Grand daughter ) on: Jul 24, 2012
