Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WILLIAM GRAY August 16, 1924 - May 29, 2005 Quietly at the Altona Health Centre, Jack left for his last vacation. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cecile (Lambert); daughters, Susan Gray and Janet Sabourin; beloved grandchildren, Kevin (Brandi), Darren (Tina), Karen (Martin) Preteau, Shannon and Jodi Gentes; as well as three great-grandchildren, Alexia, Ethan, and Ewen, precious to Grandpa. Also surviving are brother Doug (Dean) Gray and his sister Dell (Wally) Partyka, nieces and nephews, too. He was predeceased by his brother Earl in 1980, sister Vi Smith in 2001, and son-in-law Norbert Sabourin in 1997. Jack worked in his family businesses; United Transfer Ltd. in Winnipeg until 1972, and Gray's Inn Ltd. in St. Jean Baptiste, corner of Highway 75 and 14, until 1978. In his retirement they became Florida snowbirds, and travelled elsewhere often. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Firefighters Burn Fund, in memory of Norbert Sabourin. Cremation is completed, and the funeral service/mass will be held on Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church.
