Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILHEMINA (WILMA) MATHILDA JAMIESON Suddenly, but peacefully, with her family at her side, Wilma Jamieson entered eternal rest on Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her daughters, Monica Shoeskie and Carla Todd (Chris); grandsons, Paul and Mark Shoeskie, Jason Duguay (Nika), Ryan Duguay and Jesse Todd; and great-grandson Stacy Duguay; her son Geoff (Iris); granddaughter Corrine Park (Craig); great-granddaughter Sydney; and great-grandson Daniel; grandson Scott Jamieson (Tiffany); great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Taylor and Kennedy; sisters, Adella and Florence Ruppenthal and Margaret Sarbacher (Rudi); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Winnipeg, England, Australia and the United States. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Leslie; and infant daughter Donna Carolyn; also her parents, Christian and Caroline Ruppenthal; and brothers, Frederick, William and Edward. Wilma was born January 2, 1921 in Winnipeg, where she grew up and was educated. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Wilma was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and latterly, Christ Lutheran Church. She suffered a number of serious illnesses which she always bore with courage, grace and dignity. Her sense of humour always prevailed. As her physical health deteriorated, her faith in Jesus Christ strengthened, confident in the knowledge that death is nothing more than the means by which we pass from temporal life into eternal life with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. A Celebration of Wilma's Life will be held Friday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd. with Rev. Ted Chell officiating. Our family would like to thank the staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital ER Department for their care and compassion and also the nursing staff of Willow Unit at Fred Douglas Lodge where mom recently took up residence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilma's memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 119 Marion St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 0T2 or to a charity of one's choice.
