Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN JESSIE WAUGH CLARKE 1950 - 2005 Susan, beloved wife of Owen, passed away to peace early Tuesday morning May 31, 2005, at Concordia Hospital with friends and family at her side. She had fought a lengthy and valiant battle with an incurable liver disease. She was predeceased by her father William Waugh; her sister Joan; and Owen's parents, Douglas and Daisy (Kay) Clarke. She is survived by her husband Owen; daughters, Christine (Eric) and Shelley; mother Dorothy Waugh; sister Frances (Tom); nieces, Heather (John), Kathleen (David), Jessica and grandniece Tessa. Susan, born in 1950 in Winnipeg, was the youngest daughter of William and Dorothy Waugh of East St. Paul. She married Owen Clarke of Carman in 1969 in Winnipeg. They moved to Thompson, MB, in 1972 where she was Public Relations Officer for I.N.C.O. then legal receptionist for the law office Bancroft, Whidden and Mayer. Owen's work enabled them to travel around the world, enjoying new and exciting locations and meeting many people with whom they are friends today. In 1978, after the birth of their daughter Christine, they moved back to Winnipeg and built their home on a lot carved from the Waugh family farm. Shelley was born in 1984. Susan was a supportive Mom to Christine and Shelley, enjoying all their activities. She was a behind the scenes worker on many projects in East St. Paul and at St. Catherine's Anglican church. She worked for the R.M of East St. Paul for 11 years as administrative clerk to the C.A.O. We would like to thank Drs. Robert Kippen and Lawrence Homik for their kindness and much appreciated dedication to Susan. A celebration of Susan's life will be held Friday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Catherine's Anglican Church, Bird's Hill. Donations may be made to St. Catherine's Church.
