Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELA THERESA PELDA (nee CIURA) Peacefully, on May 30, 2005, at Victoria General Hospital, Angela Theresa Pelda, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away with her family at her side, at the age of 82 years. Angela is lovingly remembered by her children, daughter Marianne Gourlay; sons Richard (Mary Louise) and Robert (Teresa); her grandchildren Patrick, Brian (Kristy), Jennifer (Peter), Jaret (Leanne), Chris and James (Melissa). She also leaves to mourn her passing, sisters Wanda (Stan), Helen (George); brothers Walter and Casey (Rosemary) and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, parents Kazimierz and Aniela, brothers Karol and Johnny. Angela was born in Paterek, Poland and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1928. They lived in various towns in rural Manitoba, Welland, Ont. and finally settling in Winnipeg. She married Walter Pelda on September 4, 1950 and dedicated her life to raising their three children. Her passions included her faith, painting, gardening, cottage and the family pets. She was active in the Catholic Women's League and was president of the Holy Ghost chapter. She was an avid Bomber fan, Jets and Moose hockey fan. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Victoria Hospital and the staff of WRHA Home Care, Sandra, Naomi and Leanne. Services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy's Church, 135 John Forsyth Road, with Father Ray Beaudry officiating, with a reception immediately following. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Prayers will be held Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
