Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA KARALASH Peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2005, Olga Karalash, at the age of 66 beloved wife of Steve Karalash passed away with her family at her side. Olga will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Steve; sons, Danny, Robbie (Debbie); daughters, Marlene (Todd) and Sharon (Willy); grandchildren, Angelica, Christopher, Rebecca, Corynn, Krystle, Brittany, Rachel (Shasha), Matthew, Tiffany and many nieces and nephews. She survived by her sisters, Ann Trakalo, Helen (Mike) Grocholski, Stella Chernecki, Rose Esliger; brother Paul (Audrey) Philipchuk. She was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Mary Philipchuk; brothers, Peter, Mike and John Philipchuk; in-laws, William and Josephine Karalash; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Matt and Helen Swiderski. Olga was born at Skylake, MB on January 4, 1939. She moved to Winnipeg and worked at a sewing factory for a few years. She met Steve and married him on May 17, 1958. Olga took her hairdressing course and had her own hairdressing shop, Ollie's Beauty Salon on Selkirk Avenue for about seven years. Steve and Olga had their own family business, Durite Construction, where she did the bookwork for 35 years. She also worked as a hairdresser at the Seven Oaks Hospital, until her retirement in July 2003. Olga's love for life was her grandchildren whom she adored and loved dearly. Olga loved her flowers and worked on them with much enjoyment. The family would like to thank Dr. Lesak and the Oncology Staff, also to the staff on the 5th floor, Unit 2 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be on Monday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jefferson and Main. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willy Church, Todd Bulloch, Ron Trakalo, Trevor Chernecki, Brian Grocholski and Rick Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olga's memory to Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
