WILLIAM THOMAS FLEMING Peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2005, William Fleming passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 96 years. He is survived by his brother Roy; his children, Isobel Slack and Doug Fleming; and his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Janet Fleming, his brother Allan Fleming, grandson David McCoy, and son-in-law Gordon Slack. William was born to James and Helen Fleming on January 7, 1909 in Kelloe near Shoal Lake. In April 1931, he married Janet Anderson and then had two children, Isobel and Douglas. He enlisted in the army October 4, 1940. He was part of #H36342 Royal Canadian Army Service Core and served over seas from 1942 to 1945. He was discharged in Winnipeg in 1945. He then moved to Dufresne to farm and work as a commissioner for a number of years until retiring in the St. Vital area. He then moved to the Deer Lodge Centre. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
