MILDRED EDNA SHANNON, RN On Monday, May 30, 2005, at the Riverview Health Centre, Edna passed away at the age of 84 years. Beloved sister-in-law of Elizabeth; and aunt of Fred, Robert and George, will be sadly missed. We bid her peace and Godspeed. Edna was born and grew up on the family farm near Delisle, SK and graduated from Nurses Training at the Winnipeg General Hospital. In her spirited, vigorous and compassionate way, she travelled and nursed throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. With CUSO, she took her expertise to Jinja, Uganda, where she worked for two years in the 1960s. Her verve and zest for life were supports for her friends and family in their times of need. We wish to offer our sincerest thanks to the staff of the Oncology Department at the Victoria General Hospital, the staff of 3E at Riverview and the volunteers of CancerCare Manitoba for their generous care during her last years.
