ROBERT ELDRIDGE EMBERLEY On June 1, 2005, our loving father, grandpa and husband, Robert Eldridge Emberley, passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital. Bob was born August 28, 1921 in Gilbert Plains, MB. While he was overseas serving in the RCAF, he met his wife of 60 years Betty Kathleen (Stevens). They settled in Gilbert Plains, then relocated to Beausejour and finally to Transcona. His wife, three children and a sister survive Bob. Children: daughter Keena Everett (husband Ron, son Craig, [wife Michelle], son Grant [wife Denise]); son Keith Emberley (wife Deanne, daughter Lindsey, son Tyler); daughter Gillian Taylor (husband Robert); and sister Fay Effler (husband Ralph). Sisters, Dorothy James, Ollie Brown and Gwen Plummer, predeceased him. Bob was known for his love of life and his infectious laugh. He spent many happy times and enjoyed his family cottage at Falcon Lake, fishing at the lake and in Vancouver, curling at the Heather Curling Club and was an active member of St. George's Anglican Church choir. He also enjoyed vacationing in England, Spain, Greece and Alaska. Special thanks to Dr. Pilot and the staff at Concordia Hospital for all their help! In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare, Health Sciences Centre, would be appreciated. We'll all miss you very much Dad!! Funeral services will be held at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Transcona, Monday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m.
