LYNN ARDAGH OPPENHEIMER Our dear daughter, sister and friend, Lynn, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 28, 2005. Lynn has been an inspiration to all who knew her. She embraced life up to and including her last moments at the Palliative Care Unit, Lion's Gate Hospital, Vancouver. Left to cherish her spirit are her father, Walter Oppenheimer; her brothers, Lorne, Guy and David; sister-in-law Lise; niece, Andrea and nephew Mark. She will be sadly missed by her many friends including her special friends, Jean, Maxine and Jean-Anne. Her mother, Beth and her sister, Gail predeceased her. Lynn is an integral part of Winnipeg and was beginning to establish these same heartfelt relationships in Vancouver. As a member of the Buddhist Community, she lived her faith through compassionate action. In her cheerful way, she encouraged everyone around her. Lynn's love of life and the people around her led to a passionate involvement in many activities. She was an avid skier, tennis player, figure skater, roller blader and cyclist. She will be lovingly remembered on the ski trails of Manitoba. Lynn was employed for 30 years at Air Canada. This brought her to every corner of the world. Her colleagues will miss her vibrant personality. A memorial service for Lynn will be held at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. (Confusion Corner) on Sunday, June 12 at 1:30 p.m. Special thanks to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Lion's Gate Hospital, and to Oliver and Michiyo Chin in Vancouver for their compassionate support of Lynn while in hospital. In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to make a donation to a charity of their choice.
