AIME GAUTHIER October 29, 1926 - June 2, 2005 Beloved father, grandfather and recent great-grandfather. Son of the late Armand and Edna Gauthier, brother of the late Millie Rougeau. After a brief battle with cancer, Aime Gauthier left this earth to join his much missed wife Irene who predeceased him in July 2004. Dad was a big man in spirit as well as in body and leaves an enormous void in the lives of his three children, daughter Linda (Arne), sons, Laurie (Roseann) and Dan; four grandchildren, Lisa, Marcie (John), Brad (Candace), Jeff (Marcy); and great-grandson Aiden. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Ulysse, Leandre, Wilfred; and sister Liliane; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends and neighbours at Twin Beaches. Aime was always active in his efforts to serve his community. He was involved with the Caisse Populaire in St. Boniface for many years. Following his retirement and his and Irene's subsequent move to St. Laurent, Aime served on the board of the Caisse Populaire in Elie and was Reeve of the Municipality of St. Laurent for nine years. Our memories of Dad are vast as he was always active in the lives of his family. Whether it was hunting, fishing, golf, lawn bowling, watching a lightning show over the lake or just talking, Dad enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had the added joy of welcoming Aiden into the fold and sharing quiet smiles with him prior to his illness. When the sun shines, We will think of you. When the stars twinkle, We will remember you. We will love you forever and always feel our time with you was too short. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Gerald Langevin at the Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Second Street in Stonewall, MB on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment of Aime's cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aime's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
