JOHN NOVAK On June 2, 2005 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 92, John Novak, dearest father of Charlette Novak, slipped peacefully into the hands of the Lord. John was born in Winnipeg on October 2, 1912. He worked for Steven's Paint and the Canadian Pacific Railway. He has been an active member of the Parkside Plaza Seniors, Good Neighbours Seniors, Rossmere Seniors, and St. Alphonsus Potato Peelers. Known especially for his dancing, his hobbies were bowling, card playing and golfing. He is survived by daughter Charlette, sister Helen ( Norman), brothers Charles, Frank (Helen), and Edward and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, sister Katherine, brothers Walter and Joseph. Prayers will be offered on Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church Munroe and Brazier with cremation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Brother Jorge Villegas, OFM, Cap. presiding. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in John's memory to the Parking Lot Fund at St. Alphonsus or to a charity of choice. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
