Date of Passing: Jun 03, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVINCENT PAUL MONDOUX Vincent Paul Mondoux, aged 76 years, died suddenly on June 3, 2005 with his loving wife of 48 years, Irene by his side and baby girl, Keesha (his loving dog). He will be sadly missed by his children, Annette (Roy) of California and their children, Roy Jr. (Danica), Ashley; Louis (Wanda) and daughter Ashley; Paul (Roxanne) and their daughters, Crystal and Nicole (Warren) and great-grandchildren, Micheal and Sara; Gilles (Carole) and their daughters, Courtney, Sammy and Marc (Teresa); Tun (Shelley) and their twin girls, Marley and Maryssa all from Ontario. He will be lovingly remembered by his only surviving brother Guy Mondoux of Ontario; his very special mother-in-law Irene Meilleur; brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and special friends. Vince was a handy man and worked in construction most of his working years, establishing his own VPM construction company in Ontario. When his health began to fail, he passed on the company to his sons and moved on into his second passion, the restaurant business. Purchasing his own restaurant, The Burger Hut in Norwood, ON he and his wife Irene spent 10 good years in the business where they made many friends. Handing down the business to his son Paul, he moved to Winnipeg, where he finally retired. His new home needed a large garage to accommodate his wood working hobby. He spent many hours designing and building items to use around the home or as gifts. Whenever someone needed something redesigned or built, Vince was there to help. Family and friends soon learned that if they were stuck with a project or needed tools, they could visit Vince's shop. This truly was a passion of his right up until his passing. He made many friends and was always ready to assist others. He had a great sense of humour and continuously hunted for jokes to repeat to family and friends. In keeping with Vince's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ The King Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd., with Fr. Ron Pasinato officiating. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vince's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
