SULEIMAN (SAUL) AL-BAYUK Peacefully, after a brief illness, Suleiman Al-Bayuk passed away on June 3, 2005, at his residence. Saul was born in Gaza, Palastina, in 1941. He and his friend left his homeland travelling Europe until they got to Germany, where he worked and continued his education. It's also where he met Ingeborg, his future wife to be. Saul wanted to move to Canada and landed in Winnipeg 1967. Saul started working at an appliance repair shop. Ingeborg came to Winnipeg and they were married. He was employed there until 1970 and then started his employment at Manitoba Hydro as an Electrical Maintenance Tec. and transferred to the appliance department. In the mid 80s the department closed and Saul became a service worker at the St. James District and later to West Kildonan. Saul was an excellent gardener, bringing in fresh produce to the gang at work. He loved playing cards, golfing and playing the ponies. He was predeceased by his parents Mustafa and Camila; and his wife Ingeborg in 1996. Saul leaves to mourn his friend and soul-mate, Zenaida Nikel and her family, his close friends Greg Preyma, Milt Murray, Ben Roberts and many other good friends. Special thanks to Seven Oaks Hospital Staff, the Palliative Care workers and the support of all his friends during his illness and especially the staff from West Kildonan district for all their care and concern. According to Saul's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain Avenue and Andrews Street, with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Ash Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined; if friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
