JOSEPHINE BOYCHUK (nee DUBOWSKI) February 8, 1930 - June 4, 2005 It is with profound sadness that the family of Josephine Boychuk announces her peaceful passing. She was predeceased by her husband, Bohdan (1995); her parents, Philip and Mary; brother Stanley; and granddaughter, Erin. Mom lived most of her life in Fisher Branch retiring with dad, from the farm, in August of 1994 with a move to Winnipeg. Mom enjoyed cooking (her chicken soup was a favourite), gardening and most of all, her family. She was the glue that held the family together. Mom was a kind, generous person who was non-judgmental and treated everyone equally which was very important to her. She took on life's challenges, always trying to keep a smile on her face and accepted what was dealt her way, without a complaint. Her strength guided her to overcome her challenges with a positive attitude and outlook no matter how difficult. Josephine's memory will be lovingly cherished by her children, Frances (Oscar), Marge (Ted), Douglas (Carol), Gordon (Peggy), George (Cheryl), Lorne (Cindy), Stanley (Joanne), Peter (Deanne) and Patsy (Joe); 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, John and Eddie; sister-in-law, Vickie and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mom's Home Care workers, Petra, Anne-Marie, Tracey and Karen, for their care and concern for our mother. Also special thanks to daughters-in-law, Peggy and Cheryl, for all the extra support during Mom's illness. Lastly thanks to Tache Day Program for all the joy they brought to Mom on her Friday outings. Memorial service will be held Friday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Ukrainian Christian Congregation Cemetery with Wesley Barrett officiating.
