PAUL CLAEYS It is with great sorrow that I, Emilie, announce the passing of my dear husband of 52 years, Paul, on Sunday, June 5, 2005, at the age of 78 years. Paul is lovingly remembered by his dear wife Emilie (nee Sabot); his children, Rachel (Andre) Therrien, Raymond (Simone), Rita (Gordon) Linklater, Richard (Christine) and Rena (Gerald) Bonneteau; his stepdaughter Lucille (Art) Ritchot; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his special cousin Charles (Joyce) Claeys, brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Rose Gagnon and his son-in-law Arcel Pie ; brothers, Remie, Roland, Gerard and many brothers and sisters-in-law. Paul was a hard worker and truly enjoyed working as a heavy machine operator and truck driver for Huxley Cartage, Londeros Wrecking and Godard Ready-Mix. After his retirement from Godard Ready-Mix, his hard working lifestyle continued as he repaired and built different contraptions and gadgets. Although a lot of his time was spent gardening and working in his work shed, he would stop everything to help others or simply spend time with friends and family. The family would like to thank doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface General Hospital for doing everything humanly possible for Paul. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., with viewing one half hour prior. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the Saint-Joachim Roman Catholic Church in La Broquerie, MB. Viewing will take place prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow immediately in the Richer Cemetery.
