Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNATHAN WILLIAM JAMES SHORTING April 18, 1978 - June 5, 2005 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our son, stepson, father, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Nathan William James Shorting on June 5, 2005 at the age of 27 years. Nathan leaves to mourn his common-law wife, Priscilla Fontain and two sons, Israel and Antwon Shorting; his dad Dennis (Maureen); his brothers and sisters, Melissa, Stephanie, Jeremy, Rebecca, Matthew, Maxine, Allana and Lucas; his mother Laura and her daughters, Deborah Anderson (Brent) and children, Chantal, Kayla, Camille and Brett, and daughter Diane Marsden (Calvin Fontain) and children, Amber, Shanell and Alex; as well as numerous uncles, aunties, cousins and many friends. Nathan was predeceased by his grandparents, Rev. John James Sinclair, Mary-Anne Sinclair and George and Alice Sanderson; and by his cousin Kirk Letandre. Nathan will always be remembered for his great smile and loving nature. He was a loving and devoted father who was always willing to lend a helping hand with family members. Nathan grew up in Little Saskatchewan First Nation and in Winnipeg, with many close friends and family. He recently moved to Ontario in 2004 to raise his beautiful sons, with his common-law wife Priscilla whom he was engaged to. We miss you Nathan. You will live forever in our hearts and memories. A wake service will be held on Friday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wabauskang Community Hall, Wabauskang First Nation, ON. A wake service will also be held on Saturday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 1:00 p.m. Both of these services will be held at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Gerald Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Saskatchewan Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Chief and Councils of Little Saskatchewan and Wabauskang First Nations for all their support.
