MARY ANNE ROZNIK (nee NETSKAR) Peacefully on June 7, 2005, at the age of 81, in her home, Mary joined our Heavenly Father with her predeceased son William in 1998 and husband Joseph Roznik in 1994. Mary is survived by her children, Gordon (Jean), Chris (Ron), Irene (Brian), Barbara (Warren), Russ (Jani) and numerous grandchildren; sisters, Kay Portree and Frances (Maurice) Scuba and brother Stan Netskar. Once the children were in school, she returned to work at the Freshwater Marketing Corp. where she retired from at the age of 66 years. Mary's stamina and strength enabled her to enjoy her family and outdoor activities such as cross-country skiing, cycling and long hikes. She frequently did this while visiting Birds Hill Park. She always kept busy whether it was in her garden or by reading. Mary enjoyed going to St. Michael's Church in Cooks Creek where she sang in the choir for many years. Mary loved life. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I consider myself to be so lucky to be a daughter to this especially kind, forgiving, patient mother. I will always remember your smile and twinkle in your eye. I always felt good to be around you. My mother had inner strength, courage and sincerity. I will hold many fond memories and I will always miss her both as my mother and friend. • My mother was a very special person in that she always cherished the moment by being happy. She always turned a negative moment into a positive. The way that my mother enjoyed nature, being active in sports and having a positive outlook are the trade marks that I'm currently passing onto my childen. A truly spiritual person. - Posted by: barb (daughter) on: May 26, 2014
