NORMAN WILLIAM MARTIN
Date of Passing: Jun 04, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN WILLIAM MARTIN Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Norman, on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the age of 70 years. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Irene of 50 years; his children, Lynda (Jim), Jean (Jim), Debbie, Norman (Flo), Victor (Darlene) and Susan (Kurt); 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his stepfather Stuart Tooth; brothers, Bob, Ernie (Diane), Stan (Darlene), Keith (Gwen); lifelong friend Frank; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Henry; mother Louise; and brother Bruce. Norman and Irene resided in Winnipeg, but retired to Fairford, MB, where he enjoyed the great outdoors, gardening, fishing and strolling the land with his dogs, Makwa and Susu. His story telling and sense of humour was only out matched by his deep love for his wife and family. Norman will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A private family Celebration of Norman's Life will be held at his request. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Norman's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the Canadian Blood Services, 777 William Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 3R4.
