ORLA KLASS (LEVINE) It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Orla Klass, on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at the age of 78. Mom will lovingly be remembered by her daughter Alison Fogel (Rick); son Warren Klass; daughter-in-law Magali Journe-Klass and five grandchildren, Alanna, Jordan and Cory Fogel and Paul and Simon Klass. She is also survived by her brother Dr. Leonard Levine and sister-in-law Beryl of California and step-children, David Klass (Bonnie) and Ricki Katz. Mom was born in Winnipeg on January 16, 1927 where she resided her whole life. She worked for many years in the printing business after the untimely passing of her husband Paul in 1966. Mom assumed the role of single mother to two young children. In the face of daunting challenges, Mom remained an optimist armed with her wit and humour. She lived the past year and a half at the Sharon Home where she received top notch care and compassion from the excellent staff. Pallbearers were her four grandsons, Jordan and Cory Fogel and Paul and Simon Klass; cousin Ansel Levine and dear friend Les Marks. Graveside services were held Friday, June 3 at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery with Rabbi Larry Pinsker and Cantor Annibal Mass officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Mom, we loved you dearly and will deeply miss you
