ANTON (TONY) PERON April 19, 1927 - June 8, 2005 of Komarno, MB Peacefully with his loving family, friends and God at his side, Tony went to Heaven on June 8, 2005. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Katharine (Kay) and John Peron of Komarno, MB. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Steven Peron of Komarno, MB, and Mike Peron of Thunder Bay, ON. Tony leaves with heavy hearts his sister Mary (Walter) Pohl of Creston, BC; his brother Walter Peron of Komarno, MB; his brother Bill (Helen) Peron of Winnipeg, MB; his sister Verna (David) Gregorchuk of Winnipeg, MB; and his sister Olga (Wilbert) Paulson of Ashern, MB. Also left with very fond memories are his many Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, Great-nieces and Great-nephews, Cousins and dear Friends. Tony cared very deeply for each person he came to know and even those he did not. He had a very giving heart and you were always warmly received. Family and friends were very important to Tony. He spent all his days enjoying the company of the ones he loved. Tony loved us and taught us to be the people we are, his compassion and generosity shines like the brightest star in the night sky. Tony worked in Winnipeg for a number of years. While working at the University of Manitoba, Tony made many friends and they especially enjoyed playing baseball at Assiniboine Park. During many years at Christies Biscuits, Tony enjoyed the comradery and competition of belonging to a number of bowling teams, they won many trophies. Before retirement, Tony worked at the Union Centre which he took much pride in and enjoyed to its fullest. Tony worked very hard and enjoyed every moment of life. A number of years after retiring Tony sold his house in Winnipeg and returned to the family farm in Komarno, MB. You were always guaranteed a warm welcome from Tony, Walter and their dog Benji as you arrived at the farm . . .that is if you found them at home, they were busy boys. Being on the farm and enjoying the outdoors, cutting the grass, watching the birds, tending to the gardens, going for walks, were some of the simple pleasures that made Tony very happy. Tony had a special place in his heart for children and many have had the pleasure of growing up with him in their life ... teaching them to ride their bike, taking them on the snowmobile or just being comfortable sitting in the shade and talking. Tony enjoyed road trips to visit his brother in Ontario and his sister in British Columbia. He always made sure he visited as many family and friends along the way as possible and it was not a coincidence that his travels west usually occurred during the fruit harvest ... he always had an abundance to share. Teulon Gospel Tabernacle has always been a very important part of the Peron family's life. As a director of the church, the growth physically and in faith of the Teulon Gospel Tabernacle was a priority to Tony. If you were fortunate to have Tony come to visit you, it was around his schedule at the church because God was very important to Tony. Tony's faith carries on. Away in the beautiful hills of God, By the valley of rest so fair, Some time, some day, we know not when, We will meet our loved one there. Viewing Sunday, June 12, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service on Monday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at Teulon Gospel Tabernacle, Teulon, MB.
