MICHAEL KOSTIUK Peacefully on June 1, 2005, Michael Kostiuk passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Michael was born on December 2, 1924 in Winnipeg. He attended school in the North End. Michael worked as a welder for many years. This big bear of a man, also had many talents one being needlepoint. His family possesses some of his beautiful handwork and will treasure them always. He was also an active member of General Sir Sam Steele Legion for many years. He was a private man, very humble, very generous, always willing to help, and will be sadly missed. Michael leaves to mourn, daughter Kim and her children; brother Walter, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucille; mother Anastasia; father William; brother Hank; sisters, Betty Green and Tillie Mages; sister-in-law Mona Kostiuk, and brother-in-law Michael Mages. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care. Also special thanks to Aunty Grace for her spiritual visits, they were greatly appreciated. Memorial service will be held at Tuesday, June 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverview Health Centre Chapel.
