KEVIN DONALD HOWIE Our son and brother has come home. On May 14, 2005 while doing what he loved to do best, fishing, Kevin was taken from us. Kevin was born October 2, 1976 and lived every moment of his life to the fullest until the age of 28. Kevin made friends young and old wherever he went. He had a heart of gold and a personality that caught you up in his happiness and laughter. Kevin's famous words were, If it isn't fun it's not worth doing . His loving family and wonderful friends searched relentlessly to bring Kevin home. He loved the Cottage at Nutimik Lake more than any place else in the world. He was an accomplished outdoorsman and saw the beauty in all of nature. Kevin attended Emerson Elementary, John Pritchard Jr. High and River East Collegiate. Kevin was employed as an apprentice electrician at Dunshire Building Services. Kevin leaves his father and mother, Brian and Nancy-Jo; his brother Allan (Jennifer) to remember his love, laughter and spirit. He also leaves his grandmother, Verna deGraff, many aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund in Kevin's memory to help families in crisis in the search and rescue of loved ones within the Whiteshell Provincial Park. Donations in care of J. or R. Parnell, in care of Nutimik Lodge, Box 40, Seven Sisters, MB R0E 1Y0 would be gratefully accepted. An evening service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave., E.K. with Rev. Diane K Guilford officiating.
