MARGARET NEUFELD Surrounded by her family, Margaret (our Mom) went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 10, 2005. She lived to be 94 years and 63 days old. Margaret leaves to mourn her loving husband, Rev. John J. Neufeld; son, John (Marion) Neufeld and daughter, Martha (Elwyn) Stewart; grandchildren, Michelle (Arnhold) Neufeld, Debbie (Shawn) McMillan, Sheldon Stewart, Kendra (Rheau) Hebert, Jeremy (Christine) Stewart; great-grandchildren, Chrystalyn McMillan, Tighe McMillan, Gabrielle Neufeld and Simone Stewart. She was predeceased by her parents, seven siblings and one great-grandchild, Spencer Samuel Neufeld. Margaret was born on April 8, 1911 and married the love of her life on October 16, 1934. Their love endured during good times and bad, in sickness and in health, for more than 70 years. Mom lived a purpose driven life and she understood how all pieces of her life fit together! Her most important roles were as a spouse and mother. Mom loved her family unconditionally just as they are and they loved and respected her back. Her family knew she loved them because she told them so. Mom was a good cook and hostess, she loved to sew and do needlework. She was a great camper. They loved to go fishing up north with their buddies or travel across the USA and Canada with their trailer. Mom spent the last three and a half years in Donwood Manor Personal Care. When we asked her how she was doing, her usual response was I have nothing to complain about or I'm as good as can be expected . Mom taught us many life lessons and led by her example. We would only realize the true depth of our love and loss at the moment of our separation. Our family would like to pay special thanks to the nurses and care givers at Donwood Palliative Care who treated Mom with so much dignity and respect. We have witnessed your warm hugs and kisses to her. Your kindness to her will not be forgotten. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 15 at Eastview Community Church, 3500 DeVries, East St. Paul, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. If you wish to make a contribution in Margaret's memory it can be made to Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood, Winnipeg, MB or to the charity of your choice.
