WANDA STOREY 'When It Comes To Love, Mum's The Word' Peacefully on June 11th, 2005, Wanda Storey passed away at Concordia Hospital. Wanda was predeceased by her husband Jack and baby girl Jacklynn. Mum had the privilege of having her son Tom and daughter Candice care extensively for her in the last years of her life. Not only were they her children, they also became her best friends. Whether it was playing cards, watching the game show channel, sitting on the deck, or going to the Club for a drink, their never ending love and constant companionship was a gift that Mum talked about often and cherished. Her two youngest grandchildren, Thomas Jack (4) and Elizabeth Rae (2) provided great joy to Grandma and they were both able to experience the unconditional love Grandma provided. Wanda's youngest son Larry and daughter-in-law Dawn enjoyed watching the relationship develop between their children and Grandma each week. Suppers at Mum's on Sundays were a special event which we will forever cherish. Wanda's other daughter Sally and husband Don, along with their two children, Rob and Michelle also played a role in Wanda's life. We would like to extend a big thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital as well as the staff and friends Mum met at the Concordia Seniors Centre on Wednesdays. An extra special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Spence who were always there to help Mum with whatever help or support she needed. Mum was fortunate to have such kind-hearted people as friends and neighbors. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Wanda may be made to the Concordia Adult Day Club, 1100 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 4B8.
