JACK JANSSEN It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband and father, Jack Janssen on Saturday, June 11, 2005. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife Wendy; his two children, Joel and Jesslyn; numerous friends and relatives including many in the Netherlands. He was predeceased by his father Joseph; his mother Mary and his brother Frankie. He is survived by sisters, Elsa, Millie, Mary, Patricia and brothers, John, Anthony and their families. He was very successful in starting his own business, Jack Janssen Construction, which he was proud of, and spent many hours doing a job he loved. His sense of humour could always put a smile on your face. He was a family man devoted to his wife and children, who were the most important people in his life and there is nothing that he wouldn't have done for them. He was always there for his mother and father, a strong support for his mother when his father passed away. He enjoyed travelling, camping with his family, and also liked watching the races with Joel and going to car shows. He looked forward to visiting his relatives in the Netherlands. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Middlechurch, MB with Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Hygaard, Ernie Platschick, Robert Ricker, Anthony Janssen, Chris Marko and Christopher Marko. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Jack's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 (Ph: 787-4143). God saw you getting tired, So he wrapped you in his loving arms And whispered, Come with me. You suffered much in silence Your spirit did not bend You faced your pain with courage Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us Your fight was not in vain God took you in his loving arms And saved you from all pain. We will miss you and love you forever. I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living My Daddy you'll be. You're the bestest Daddy ever - Love Jesslyn and Joel Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
