Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPHINE REICHERT January 18, 1923 - June 11, 2005 Peacefully on June 11, 2005 Josephine passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge at the age of 82 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Josephine is survived by her daughter Donna of Portage, son Robert (Carol) of Stoney Creek, son Glenn of Portage; four grandchildren, Robert Jr. (Tannis), Jennifer, Brett and Andrew; five great-grandchildren, Nikolaus, Hunter, Hudson, Gabriel, and Layla. Brother Peter (Theresa) of Pickering; brother-in-law Adam Gottfried of Toronto; sisters-in-law, Rose Schnerch of Balmertown and Kay Schnerch of Gimli; brother-in-law Chris (Rose) Reichert of Camp Morton; sisters-in-law, Lil Panteluk of Camp Morton and Rose Reichert of Gimli; many nieces, nephews and friends. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her parents, Mary and Henry; brothers, Rudolph, Henry, Matt, Adam and Tony; sisters, Kay, Margaret, Emily, Elizabeth, Madgeline and Mary. Mom was born in Camp Morton where she grew up and married Joseph. They took great pride in raising their children with love. Mom looked after Donna and Glenn until her own health failed. Mom enjoyed her visits with Donna and Glenn in Portage. She also enjoyed her visits to Stoney Creek and Toronto to visit her children, grandchildren and her many relatives. Mom did not have an easy life. She was there for everyone; she will always be remembered for her smile and her hearty laugh. It didn't matter how tough things were, she always found enjoyment with relatives and friends having a good word for all. We love you Mom. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main Street, West St. Paul. Viewing will take place at 10:30 a.m. Msgr. Louis McCloskey will be officiating. Lunch will be served downstairs after mass. Burial will take place following lunch at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Fred Douglas Lodge for the wonderful care you gave Mom.
