He is predeceased by his mother and father, Agatha (Neufeld) and Diedrich Rempel; mother-in-law, Justina Braun; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Toews. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Justina (Braun) Rempel; his children, Ken Rempel, Billie Dudrak (Ken), Barb Rempel (Erwin Holowick), David Rempel (Susan Ulrich), Michael Rempel (Lorie); his grandchildren, Curtis, Bryan, Frans, Jennifer, Christine, Blake, Samantha, Nolan, Jenny, Jessie, and Christie; his daughter-in-law Janet Rempel; three sisters, Helen Dyck (Abe), Kate Jordonov, Anne Lehnart (Alex); one brother, John Rempel (Mary); one brother-in-law, Fred Braun (Tina); several nieces and nephews. Mourning the loss of her beloved companion is his dog Sandy. William was born in Osterwick, Ukraine. He was raised on a farm with his family. The family became disrupted during the war and he lost his parents. The remaining siblings and William immigrated to Canada after the war. Here in Canada he worked on a farm in Griswold, MB till he moved to Winnipeg. Here he worked several jobs but worked most of his life (37 years) as a maintenance man for Bell Foundry Ancast Industries in Winnipeg. Married his wife in 1952 and had five children. He spent his time entertaining children and enjoying his many pets over the years. He was well loved and will be sadly missed by all. Special thanks to Tuxedo Villa for their care during his stay. No words can express the extra special thanks to Elena Nesterenko for her care, nurturing and love.
