CAROLINE OBIREK (nee DZIALIK) Peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Concordia Hospital, Caroline Obirek, aged 87 years of Highland Glen, MB. Caroline was born in Cooks Creek, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Walter. She is survived by her children Violet Theilen (Horst), Juliet Kosak (Mike), Laurel Zebinski (William), Delores Zaluski (Edward), Ken Obirek (Cheryl) and Dan Obirek (Sharon); grandchildren, Darren Dudeck (Lisa), Joy Steele, Kevin and Mark Kosak, Sherry Popoff (Gary), Nicole Daviduik (John), Dwayne, Duncan, and Colleen Zaluski and Derek and Michelle Obirek; great-grandchildren, Adam and Kyra, Brittany and Talia, Alesha, Caitlin and Kyle, Madison and Morgan, Dylan, Devon, Tianna and Tatum. Also left to mourn is three sisters, Jenny Burnt, Adeline Chihonik and Stella Bollenback and one brother Walter Dzialik. Caroline was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, flowers were her favourite. Playing cards with her family and friends was a joy, she especially loved family gatherings. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her. Prayers will be said on Friday evening, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Garson, MB with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and St. Joseph's Residence for their care.
