MARCEL DE MAERTELAERE Marcel passed away peacefully in Regina on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 75 years of age. A graveside interment service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 7 at the Greenwood Cemetery Pilot Mound, MB. A lunch will follow. Marcel is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Ida De Maertelaere and is survived by his sisters, Elsie (Harold) Johnstone, Doris Dolinski, Mary (Len) Moore; and his brother Bob (Bev) De Maertelaere. Marcel is also survived by many nieces and nephews and leaves behind many good friends. Marcel grew up on a farm in southern Manitoba and farmed until 1962. He excelled at mechanical repairs and was a successful sewing machine technician and salesman in Saskatoon. He enjoyed fishing, lawn bowling and curling. Marcel was actively involved with his church and was always there for anyone who needed a hand. At Marcel's request, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
