EDGAR ARSENE VINCENT (1913-2005) C'est avec tristesse que nous annoncons le deces de Edgar Arsene Vincent, le 15 juin 2005 a l'age de 91 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son epouse bien-aimee, Eugenie, son fils Ronald, sa fille Diane (Edgar Dube), ses sept petits-enfants, Angelique, John, Connie, Marc, Candace, Trisha et Jolene et leurs epoux, ainsi que douze arriere-petits-enfants. Edgar a ete precede dans la mort par ses enfants Paul, Liliane (Coss) et Richard, ses parents Marie-Anna et Philorum et ses deux freres Aime et Hector. Il laisse dans le deuil sept freres, Josephat, Severe, Fernand, Jean, Sylvio, Rodolphe et Alexandre et cinq soeurs, Rosa, Agnes, Dorilla, Therese et Alma. Ceux qui ont connu Edgar se souviendront de sa gentillesse envers les autres, son devouement a sa famille et sa communaute, son bon sens d'humour, son partage et generosite et ses habitudes de travail. La famille desire remercier le personnel du Sunnywood Manor pour les soins offerts a Edgar au cours de son sejour. Si desire, un don a la memoire d'Edgar peut etre fait a la Fondation du cimetiere de Saint-Georges. La douce memoire d'un etre cher demeure toujours dans nos curs. Les funerailles auront lieu le samedi 18 juin 2005 a 11 h en l'eglise catholique de Saint-Georges. Les prieres seront recitees a 10 h 30. La direction des funerailles a ete confiee a Russell Funeral Homes (204) 268-2263. EDGAR ARSENE VINCENT Edgar Arsene Vincent of Saint-Georges, MB died peacefully at the age of 91 on June 15, 2005 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his children, Paul (1938), Liliane Coss (1978), and Richard (2001); his parents, Philorum and Marie-Anna, and his brothers, Aime and Hector. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 67 years, Eugenie; his children, Ronald and Diane (Edgar Dube); seven grandchildren, Angelique, John, Connie, Marc, Candace, Trisha, Jolene and their spouses as well as twelve great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters, Josephat, Agnes, Severe, Rosa, Dorilla, Therese, Alma, Fernand, Sylvio, Jean, Rodolphe, and Alexandre as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Edgar was born on December 22, 1913 and was the eldest of 15 children. In 1942, he enlisted in the army. Following the war, Edgar bought land in Grande-Prairie (Stead). The land is still cultivated by his son Ronald today. Edgar worked on the construction of the Pine Falls Power Plant and then for Abitibi-Price until his retirement in 1978 at age 62. Throughout the years, Edgar served his community and parish, and sat on many different boards and committees, including two terms as a councillor for the LGD of Alexander. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Edgar was a loving husband and father and a kind, patient, generous grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed, always cherished and forever remembered in our hearts. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnywood Manor in Pine Falls for their excellent care and patience. The funeral service will take place Saturday, June 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint-Georges Catholic Church. Prayers at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the Saint-Georges Catholic Church for the Cemetery Foundation . Arrangements entrusted to Russell Funeral Homes Ltd.
