PATRICIA FLORENCE MORRIS (nee OLFREY) March 9, 1921 - June 10, 2005 Peacefully, with family by her side, Pat passed away at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, on Friday, June 10, 2005, at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn her husband of 40 years, Walter Morris; five children, Sheila (Scott), John (Sylvia), Jeff (Jennifer), Kathy (Lorenzo) and Jim; 10 grandchildren, Lisa (Tim), Tracy (Shane), Shannon (Pete), Tanya (Mark), Shaun, Kim (Henri), Shad, Jamie, Alyssa and Taylor; seven great-grandchildren, Rylen, Amanda, Chase, Desiree, Gabrielle, Ireland and George; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was predeceased by her first husband Bert Olfrey; sisters, Evelyn, Georgina, Sylvia, Sheila; and brother Dennis, all of London, England. On March 9, 1921, Pat was born in Middlesex, England and immigrated to Canada as a war bride in 1945. She spent the next 15 years forging new friendships in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba when Bert was transferred to these provinces as a manager with the Toronto Dominion Bank. Following Bert's death in 1964, she met Walter, whom she married on December 17, 1965, increasing her family from two to seven, a daunting task for most, but Pat was up for the challenge and enjoyed the large family she had always wanted. In 1969, Pat and Walter moved to Dryden, ON, where they lived until Walter's retirement when they came back to Winnipeg. Pat enjoyed entertaining family and friends, reading, gardening and travelling, especially to Myrtle Beach where she and Walter spent many happy winters. Visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always something she looked forward to and even in the last few months of her illness, her day was made special when her great-grandson Rylen came to visit. Following Pat's wishes, a private family funeral service was held. Our family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Middlechurch Home for the care and compassion Mom received. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
