ROBERT STANLEY CONACHER On Saturday, June 11, 2005, after a brave fight with cancer, Robert succumbed to the disease and answered the call to his Home of Eternal Rest. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Alice; brother Dave and sister-in-law Pat of Burlington, ON. Also, on Saturday, June 11, Robert predeceased his brother James by two hours. Robert bids a fond farewell to his many friends, acquaintances and workmates who participated, in some way, to the struggles, victories and pleasures of everyday life. To continue on the road of life, he leaves Cecile (Boutin/Hartle) Conacher, his wife and partner of 27 years; two daughters, Colleen (Ralph French) of Arcola, SK and Roberta (Darrell Polet) of Winnipeg, MB. Robert also had a very close extended family, Kelly and Linda Hartle of Toronto, ON, Wade Hartle of Arcola, SK, Ivy and Tom Purdy of Winnipeg; as well as grandchildren, Jamie Lee and Taralyn French, Ashley Polet, Kimberly Roy (Todd), Bonnie Hartle, Justin Hartle, Chris and Nick Purdy; plus several nieces and nephews, whose company was always a real source of pleasure. A private family service in celebration of Robert's life has already taken place, with Rev. Fr. Michael Koryluk, who officiated. Robert's wish was to leave everyone with this thought, Miss me with a tear...but only for a little while, then forever cherish thoughts of me with a smile.
