PAULINE FAKAS (FAYKES) (nee PROCEWIAT) Peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at West Park Manor, Pauline (Polly) passed away at age 84. Polly was born January 29, 1921 in Hadashville, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Matt Fakas in 1977; brother John Procewiat in 1982; and parents, Alexander in 1951, and Ann in 1958. She leaves to mourn, her devoted sister-in-law Ann Procewiat; nephew Ed (Sharon); niece Jackie (Lawrence); great-niece Chantal (Al); great-nephews, Trevor, Chris (Marion), and Sean (Jackie), all of whom reside in Winnipeg. Pauline was a very special person to all who knew her. She was known as Polly to everyone. She loved having people drop in for a visit and she was always inviting them down for dinner. She loved entertaining family and friends, and her most enjoyable time was when she could be around children to spoil them. Jackie and Lawrence wish to thank all the staff at West Park Manor for giving her such wonderful, loving care for the past five years. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with interment following at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Polly's memory to the Grace Hospital Foundation. We will love you always, Polly. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • When I was growing up, Polly was always fun to be around and always good for a laugh. Whenever we visited we were always sure to go home full, for no sooner had we digested the delicious supper that she had made and Polly was putting out the late night snack food, ensuring all of her guests (family and friends) were well cared for. It was a pleasure to know her and be a part of her life for whatever brief time we shared. - Posted by: Brian Carriere (Family) on: Jun 20, 2005
