Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT ALLEN GEISLER It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Robert at the age of 76 on Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (nee Kozicki) and parents, George Geisler and Mary Fecyk, he is survived by son Richard, daughter Marianne and son-in-law Allen Paterson, granddaughters Tracy, Melissa and Morgan and great-granddaughter Fatima. He also leaves to mourn his passing sister Alice Palaniuk (California); brothers, Ron Fecyk (Texas) and Larry and Helvig Fecyk (Oakville) and family and friends. Robert was born in Winnipeg on May 5, 1929. Dad and Mom were married on August 11, 1951 and together they raised their family in West Kildonan where he lived until his passing. Dad worked most of his years as an automotive mechanic at Sharpe's Auto Electric, Auto Supply, Acklands, and SH Auto. He retired in 1994 from E.H. Price where he worked in the plant maintenance division. Dad was very proud of his family and always enjoyed the time that they shared together. We could always count on his well-done roast beef and oven roasted potatoes being prepared every Sunday for dinner. Dad enjoyed his Saturday morning trips to Garden City Shopping Centre with his buddy Mike Saharchuk - together they shared many cups of coffee and met up with their old friends . In accordance with Dad's wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Monday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff (especially Angela, Florence and Ricki) at the Sherbrook Dialysis Unit for the care and understanding extended to our dad over the past eight years. Dad's final two days were at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care where he was cared for by a very special and caring group of individuals. Last but certainly not least, our heartfelt thanks to Holly - you are truly a one in a million lady. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Robert Geisler to the Health Sciences Centre Dialysis Unit, in care of Dr. K. Bernstein, GA 609 - 820 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1R9 or Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Ave., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts, We love you Dad Grandpa CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
