ALLAN DALE MCAULAY Suddenly, at his residence on Monday, June 13, 2005, Allan McAulay, aged 58 years of Clandeboye, MB. Allan was predeceased by his father John. He leaves behind his mother Mary McAulay; brother Gordon (Karin); sisters, Gladys (Tom) Hayward, Audrey (Steve) Robson and Muriel (Reg) Haddad. He also leaves many relatives and friends. Allan was born in Selkirk, the youngest child of John and Mary McAulay. He attended Clandeboye and Selkirk Schools. He graduated from his Electronic Engineering course at Red River College ranking third in his class. Allan was hired by the Department of Transport in 1967 to maintain the radar equipment in Inuvik, NT. He spent several years there, was moved to Whitehorse, Fort Smith, then to Calgary. His last posting was Winnipeg where he continued in the same line of work until his retirement in 2002. Allan was a fantastic uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He joyfully cared for Mum and gave her an interesting life since returning to Manitoba. Every day they would go somewhere for a car ride and coffee. He took great pride in the home he built for himself and was always ready and willing to help someone. In keeping with Allan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clandeboye United Church with Rev. Marilyn Anderson-Corkum officiating. Interment will follow in the Churchyard cemetery. Thank you for all the love and support. Flowers are gratefully declined.
