STEVEN ZEDAN Peacefully at his residence Steve Zedan passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his sister Jessie Marchiske and sister-in-law, Mary Zedan both of Detroit, MI, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mary; sisters, Eva Zalluski, and Mary Bachalo; brothers, Alec, John, Mike, Nick and Henry. Steve was born in Alonsa, MB on November 18, 1916. He received his education in Alonsa at the Griffiths School. He continued to work the family farm with his brother Henry until the late 1950s. He then moved into Winnipeg and was employed with Versatile Implements until retirement. Steve enjoyed traveling and taking in the Dauphin Ukrainian Festival and the Austin Thresherman's Reunion. He also enjoyed visiting with family and friends, listening to old time music, playing card games, and watching television sports. Friends may call at the Glen Eden Funeral Home at 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg for prayers on Monday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service is Tuesday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. John Melynk officiating. Internment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Steve's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or to a charity of one's choice.
