Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER MCCLURG August 20, 1933 - June 18, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex, at the age of 71. Alex will be greatly missed by his family, Margaret, wife of 50 years; son Alex (Allison); daughters, Janice, Karen, Sandra (Sheldon); grandchildren, Brittany, Nicholas, Julie; as well his brother Alistair (Margie); nephew William (Cathy) and numerous nephews and nieces. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Agnes; two children, Thomas and Margaret; and sister Jean. Alex arrived in Winnipeg from Motherwell, Scotland in 1959. He worked in retail for many years, and later he worked at the Victoria Hospital until his stroke in 1998. Following his stroke, Alex became very involved with the High Steppers Club, YMCA, and Stroke Recovery, where he met many wonderful friends. Alex's quick wit and easy smile have won the hearts of many. The family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital MICU and 5th floor for their care and compassion. A memorial service celebrating Alex's life will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 Winakwa. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We love you Dad, Papa, Uncle and Friend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
