KENNETH ERNEST ALTSTADT 1942 - 2005 On Sunday, June 19, 2005, with his wife and daughters by his side Ken passed away at the Pinawa Hospital at the age of 63 years. Ken will be lovingly remembered by Dorothy (nee Tommila), his wife of 41 years; daughters, Kendra and Annette, their husbands Kevin Noel and Jeff Gilfix and two grandsons, Kendall and Kent Noel. He is survived by his favourite Uncle Elmer; brothers, Denis (Heather), Glen (Linda); sister Leona (Hugh); sister-in-law Betty and their families. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Hulda; brothers, Arnold and Ronald (in infancy); and Godmother Lena. We wish to thank the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Ken while he was there as a patient. We also want to thank our dear family and friends for their love and support during Ken's illness. We express our sincerest gratitude to those who stepped in and helped with the bountiful harvest when he was in the hospital. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, River Hills with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
