Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN T. BARNETT 1939-2005 Doreen Teresa Barnett, 66, of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 19, 2005. Born in Winnipeg on October 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William and Maud (Wilton) Hewett. Doreen was a former employee of Northern Electric, Winnipeg, she attended Linwwood School and St. James Collegiate. Doreen and her sister Diana were the first twins in Winnipeg to earn the Gold Cord, the highest award in Guiding as well as a diploma for 12 years of perfect Sunday School attendance. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Stanley; son David of Moncton; daughter Donna of Riverview, NB; a brother Dr. John W. Hewett D.C. of Carman, MB; and twin sister Diana Purdy (Bryan) of Winnipeg; two nieces, Amy Hewett and Rena Purdy; three nephews, Joey and Matthew Hewett and Ryan Purdy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, Fr. Donald Routledge officiating. A reception for Doreen's friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
