Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE LEONA LUCY JANSENS (nee VANNEVEL) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at Concordia Hospital, on Saturday, June 18, 2005. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Leo in 1980; and brother Gerry in 1989. Left to mourn are her daughters, Lorraine (Jim Miln), Rosemary (Art Chapman), Camilla (George Sys), and Judy (Vern Desmet) of Swift Current; ten grandchildren, Rob (Andrea), Brian (Andrea); Jeff (Charlotte), Ross (Krista), Susie (Rick); Ginny (Mike), Chris (Norm), Penny (A.D.); Grant (Donna) and Nicole, and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Maurice (Godelieve); sister Elsie; and sister-in-law Yvonne. Mom was born in St. Boniface to Charles and Stephanie Vannevel on March 1, 1906. She married Leo Jansens in June, 1934 and lived her entire life in the St. Boniface area. She was a life-time member of the Belgian parishes of Sacred Heart and St. Francis of Assisi, and a past member of the Ladies' Auxiliary. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and an accomplished seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of the Belgian Club and, in her later years enjoyed the weekly Senior Citizens Group activities. A funeral Mass celebrating Marguerite's life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Andrew Bobola Church, 541 Marion St. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the emergency responders and to the staff of N3 East at Concordia Hospital for their care. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3L 0K6 or to a charity of your choice.
