Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN HALSALL Evelyn Halsall, 86, of St. James, MB, died June 16, 2005 at Grace Hospital. Evelyn was born on March 9, 1919 in Winnipeg to Emily and James Halsall. She had one brother, Stanley, (Honolulu) previously deceased. She excelled in the Women's Softball League, playing for the St. Vital Tigerettes and in 2004 was inducted into the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame. She was a long-time member of St. James Anglican Church. She is survived by a nephew, Ken (Barbara) Halsall of Toronto; a niece, Janis (Tom) Mills of Hawaii; two grand nieces, Jennifer (Mark) O'Neill and Deborah (Miles) Needham; two grand nephews, Michael Halsall and Gregory (Kimberly) Mills; one great-grand nephew Elijah and three great-grand nieces, Chelene, Janae and Emma. Funeral services will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St. (south of Portage) on Friday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family will receive condolences at the reception at St. James Anglican following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to Evelyn's memory can be made to St. James Anglican Church or the Manitoba Softball Hall of Fame.
