ELIZABETH (PAT) MARTIN (MARCINIW) (nee SWARBRICK) Peacefully on June 15, 2005, surrounded by her loved ones, our beloved mother, grandma and great-grandmother passed away at the Concordia Place Personal Care Home. Pat was predeceased by her husband Harry; her parents, John and Esther Swarbrick; sisters, Mae, Kay and Betty and brothers, John and Bob. Pat is survived by her daughter Margaret and sons, Daniel (Linda), Bob (Cheryl), Jim (Lorraine), George (Roxanne) and Fred (Karen); ten grandchildren, Jason (Jocelyn), Ryan, Jamie (Dana), Gregg (Laura), Shane, Todd (Brenda), Kevin, Jordan, Kristi (Jose) and Tara; stepgrandchildren, Jeff, Andrew, Kevin, Trevor and Kyle and three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Amelia and Jenna. Pat was born in Winnipeg on November 27, 1915. As a young woman she loved to dance and roller skate and it was through skating that she met her future husband. Harry and Pat lived and raised their family in the north end of Winnipeg. Once her family was grown, Pat took great pleasure in ceramics, reading, travelling and the company of her many friends. Pat's entire life was centred on her family and she would tell anyone who would listen how proud she was of all her children. She was very kind and caring, a perfect role model for the rest of us. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Muriel Stoppel for her friendship and kindness, to Chaplain John for his comfort and grace and to the staff of Concordia Place for their compassionate care of our mother. We are truly grateful. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Concordia Place Personal Care Home on Friday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. A family interment service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 - 675 McDermot Ave. or the Rainbow Society, 303 - 1 Wesley. We'll miss you, Mom Sweet Dreams
