Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE EDWARD CUMMINGS After a courageous battle with cancer George passed away on June 16, 2005 peacefully surrounded by his loving family and Rev. Diane. Born in Melville, SK August 7, 1930. He moved with his mom to join his sisters in Winnipeg in 1946. He worked at Eatons for 26 years. He retired early from River East School Division so they could travel across Asia, Europe and winters in Florida. As a member of Saint Stephen's Anglican Church his faithfulness and his quiet caring nature added strength to the church's community but also blessed him with many rich friendships. His pure bliss was when he was with family and friends, at the cottage where he loved tending his bountiful garden. Survived by his beloved wife Muriel; children, Gordon (Carla), Kathilyn (Cary), Maureen (Don); grandchildren, Luke, Jessica, Shona, Blake, Khalicia, Meaghan and Carlyle; his sister Bernice; brothers-in-law, Wilf, Tom, Peter, Bruce; sisters-in-law, Frances, Georgina, Molly and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Muriel; sister-in-law Kaye; and brothers-in-law, Robert and Bill. The family wishes to thank all the family and friends for the prayers, visits and loving assistance. Special thank you to Dr. Khran for her hope and inspirational support during the many months. A celebration of George's life will be held at 2:00 on Friday, June 24 at Saint Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to Saint Stephen's Anglican Church, R2K 0V9.
