MARLIS (AMALIE) TEPPER On Monday, June 20, 2005 Marlis Tepper, at the age of 76 peacefully went to meet with her Lord and Saviour. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 54 years, Robert; her son Dieter and wife Maria; granddaughters, Laurie and Lynnette and due in September her first great-grandchild. Marlis is also survived by Richard (Renate) Dreger, Edgar (Shirley) Dreger, Loni Dreger, Loni (Ed) Betcher, Elsie (Adam) Betcher and Fred Arich. Also left to mourn are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Olga Dreger, Rudolph Dreger and stepmother Olga Dreger; two brothers, Irwin Dreger in Austria and Art Dreger; two sisters, Adele Dreger and Olga Erich. Marlis was born on August 25, 1928 in Krucha, Poland / Russia. As a young adult living in Germany she gave her heart to the Lord and has served him with undistracted devotion ever since. She was truly a woman to be praised because she feared the Lord. Robert and Marlis were married on December 30, 1950 in Hildesheim, Germany. God blessed this union with a son, Dieter in January 12, 1952. They immigrated to Winnipeg in 1954 and have resided here ever since. Marlis and her family became faithful members of Immanuel Pentecostal Church in 1954. She worked at the Health Sciences Centre as a lab technician for over 30 years. At the age of 65 she and Robert retired and enjoyed 11 wonderful years of retirement together. Robert and Marlis were inseparable; they were never apart. They spent hours everyday in prayer for their family and friends. Mom was a real prayer warrior. What a huge void she will leave behind. Marlis was a diligent homemaker, valuable helper to family and friends, nurturing mother and grandmother. She never tired of giving of herself to others. She will be remembered for her wonderful baking (especially her Freckle Torte) and her elaborate dinners that she lovingly prepared for her family and friends. She passed on her cooking and homemaking skills to her granddaughters, spending many hours in her kitchen with them. What a legacy she has passed on to her family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23 in Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Erhard Buss officiating. Viewing will be one half hour prior to service. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Victoria General Hospital 5 North for their compassion and care they showed Marlis over the last seven weeks. We also wish to thank all of our family and friends for the prayers, love and support during Marlis's illness. Mom was truly a Proverbs 31 woman: A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies? Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She sets about her tasks vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also and calls her blessed . KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson - North of McIvor - 338-0331
