Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY KUZMYCHUK Passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Wednesday June 22, 2005 at 91 years of age. Harry was born on August 23, 1913, in Pryvil'ne, a small village in Mykolayivska Oblast' in Ukraine. His family was one of the more fortunate ones who survived the Holodomor of 1933. During the Second World War, Harry served in the Red Army and was subsequently captured and imprisoned by the Germans. After the war Harry did not return to Ukraine fearing imprisonment or worse from the repressive Soviet Stalinist regime. He then remarried, immigrated to Canada and raised his Canadian family. In Canada he was an upstanding member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor of St. Mary the Protectress. Harry leaves behind his children in Canada, Anna, Kathy (Don), Sharon (Brad); grandchildren, Derek, Devron, Allan, Andrew, Kyle, Kristin; and four great-grandchildren; as well as children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Ukraine. Prayers will be said on Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 820 Burrows Ave. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. J.S. Buciora presiding. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
