MYRTLE M. MACLEOD Peacefully on June 21, 2005, Myrtle passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Myrtle was born on September 25, 1914 in Regina, SK to Ethel and James Newton Walker Porter. She is survived by daughter June Jones; son James Macleod and daughter-in-law Rita Macleod; her grandchildren, Robert Jones (Candace Young) and great-grandson Cameron; Sean Jones (Melanie Prince-Jones); Jeremy, Jason and Gaylena Macleod. Myrtle is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews and by her dear friend Myra Keatinge. Myrtle was predeceased by her siblings, Otto, Hazel, Vina, Newton, Maxine, Nettie and Bob. Myrtle worked for many years for the Department of National Defence retiring in 1979. She was an avid sports fan and follower of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Manitoba Moose and the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The family wishes to thank the Collins family for their love and support provided to Aunt Myrtle and the family, Catherine Cameron and the entire Home Care Team and the wonderful nursing team on 3 East, Concordia Hospital. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
